UI/UX Design + Samplist
from 2020
Creating and designing sample libraries is a passion project of mine. Essentially, these are instruments recorded one note at a time to transform them into a new playable instrument controlled by midi.
Composing these instruments require a lot of attention to detail. With the UI, I try to communicate what mood might these libraries evoke or how inspiration came to me.
My first attempt at creating an instrument was sampling my Korg Minilogue. The UI was inspired by that synth's layout and decided to lean into it, giving it a proper homage.
That is the only sample library I created that got released on Pianobook to date.
I wanted to explore a way to expand on the synth concept, to create an all-in-one instrument for an album of mine.
This sample library is a Kontakt instrument based on an 8-string guitar. The challenge was that I wanted a single-tab UI with lots of customisation and articulations.
I'm a product designer specialising in SaaS web-app solutions. I enjoy working in all parts of a product's cycle and am comfortable taking concepts from a whiteboard to a highly detailed prototype flow, keeping the End-User in mind.
Cheers,
I'm looking forward to working with you!
